LIP AND CHIN BUSTS

*PERSONAL PROJECT*

Daisy was looking to improve her realistic skin tone painting, and so created a small bust of the lip/chin area to practice on.

She created the sculpt using a clay pour of a life cast. She then cleaned up the sculpture and created a block plaster mould. From there she brushed layers of silicone into the mould to build up thickness, added scrim as a binding medium and filled the rest with soft polyurethane foam.

The bust casts were then hand painted using sil-paint and silicone pigments thinned with white spirit.
